MapSnap is a world map game. It has no accounts and keeps your scores and settings on your device.

What MapSnap collects

MapSnap has no accounts or sign-in, and the game does not send your scores or settings anywhere. Like any website, our host receives technical data such as your IP address and browser when you load a page. Where the website shows advertising, the advertising partner may also process data such as your IP address and device information, and may use cookies or similar technologies. This section will name each partner and say what it processes before any advertising goes live. MapSnap does not sell personal data.

What stays on your device

The game runs on your device; the Android app bundles its files, so it is being built to work offline. It keeps a few small settings on your device so it can remember them next time: your best scores for each way of playing, whether sound is on, whether you chose the light or the dark look, which language you picked, and whether you have already swiped the map (so a hint about swiping isn't shown again). The game does not send these anywhere. Removing the app or clearing its data deletes them.

Permissions

MapSnap does not ask for access to your location, contacts, camera, microphone, photos or files.

Purchases

If you unlock the whole world, the payment is handled entirely by your app store. MapSnap never sees your payment details, and receives only the fact that the purchase was made.

This website

This page and the home page set no cookies and load nothing from other websites. They remember your light or dark choice on your device, a page in another language opens the game in that language, and the home page reads your best score from the same storage on your device to show it beside the play button; it is not sent anywhere.

Children

MapSnap is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect personal data from them. Before advertising goes live, this section will say how advertising is limited for children.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be published on this page with a new date.
